This past weekend, the world of entertainment was rocked by the Queen of the music world, Beyonce. Queen Bey released her new album “Lemonade” on the music streaming service, Tidal, but they only had a window of exclusivity because at 12 am on Sunday the album was released on iTunes. This happened after they aired a film about Beyonce and the new album on HBO, which contributed to the hype of this new music packed album.
The album touches on racism, empowerment, and infidelity, which is the main idea that everyone is concerned about. In the song “Sorry,” Bey mentions to her man to “call Becky with the good hair,” which gave speculation as she was taking on her role as an angry wife and accusing her husband, Jay-Z, of cheating. However, the video aired on HBO ended with the happy family of three at their sweet little girl’s birthday party.

Whether the allegations are true, no one knows just yet, but I can assure you Jay-Z is going to be watched like hawk by the paparazzi until we hear directly from him. Overall, the new album is a heavy-hearted, pointing out major points in society and features her newest single “Formation.” The singer will kick off her Formation tour this Wednesday in Miami, and I am sure we will be hearing more about this subject for the next few months, so you better go take a listen to this new album!
^ Okay, but really…how did we not see this coming?
